In the installed audio, lighting, and video industries, LynTec is a leading manufacturer of remote AC power control systems.  LynTec is undisputed leader in audio AC power sequencing with “one touch” remote control, offering circuit breaker monitoring and on/off control via web browser, great for large A/V systems and theatrical lighting control.  The control and circuit protection of single- or multi-panel systems are provided by motorized circuit breakers housed in the same enclosure.  “Lyntec.com” power panel control systems save space, improve reliability, and reduce installation costs.

The History of LynTec

The original PAC (Programmable Audio Controller) was created in 1982 by Lynn Potter for the purpose of bringing a time/level controlled masking generator to market. A later development was The CrowdCompTM, a crowd compensating computer.

As a 16-year veteran of general aviation avionics manufacturing, Lynn specialized in navigation, communications, and radar – no newcomer to the solid-state electronics market.

When General Electric discontinued a motor driven switching system for sound system sequencing, AC Power Sequencing became a major line addition to the company. As a result, Lynn built the PDS-16 Power Delay Sequencer, which provided 16 circuit sequencing in a relay cabinet located next to the power panel.

By the early 1990s, Lynn expanded its line of AC power sequencing products to include motorized circuit breakers.  Due to motorized circuit breakers, LynTec was able to offer electrical protection and circuit switching in the same enclosure.  With this package, designers were able to save space and lower installation costs.

We offer a wide range of AC circuit counts for our power sequencing line, from 4 to 84 circuits per panel with unlimited expansion.equencing is found in facilities ranging from small churches to large performing arts centers and from high school gyms to NFL stadiums and NHL and NBA arenas.
